This Privacy Policy explains how Sealed Nectar collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Sealed Nectar website, Android app, iOS app, or related services.

1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: user ID, email address, display name, username, authentication provider, and account status.
- Profile information: avatar, bio/profile details, gender or preference settings you choose, public profile links, and other information you add to your profile.
- Quiz and learning activity: quiz answers, quiz history, scores, XP, correct/incorrect answers, bookmarks, saved drafts, prepared quizzes, progress, achievements, streaks, and learning statistics.
- Community and social content: posts, comments, likes, follows, reposts, reports, alliance activity, direct messages, group messages, live battle room messages, and related moderation records.
- Media and files: profile avatars and any images, attachments, or audio you choose to upload or record in supported app features.
- Notifications and device data: notification preferences, notification tokens, app version, device/platform type, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate notifications and app features.
- Support communications: messages you send to us, including email content and information needed to respond to your request.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage your account;
- run quizzes, exams, live battles, leaderboards, XP, achievements, and progress features;
- show your public profile and content when you choose to publish or share it;
- deliver notifications, reminders, and app messages;
- support social features such as posts, comments, follows, alliances, and messages;
- moderate content, prevent misuse, protect users, and enforce app rules;
- sync data across devices and improve reliability;
- respond to support requests and troubleshoot problems.
3. Public and shared content
Some features are designed for sharing. Your username, display name, avatar, public profile, posts, comments, leaderboard entries, public challenges, alliance activity, and shared quiz/live battle links may be visible to other users or to anyone with the link, depending on the feature and your settings.
4. Service providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the app. This may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, realtime features, and backend services, and Google services for sign-in or platform features. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or with your direction when you use sharing features.
6. Data retention
We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Some deleted content may be retained temporarily in backups or moderation records. Public content you shared may remain visible until removed or deleted according to the feature rules.
7. Your choices and controls
You can update your profile, change settings, manage notification preferences, delete or edit supported content, and request account/data help by contacting us at support@sealednectar.org.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections where supported. No online service is perfectly secure, so you should use a strong account login and avoid sharing sensitive information in public or social areas of the app.
9. Children
Sealed Nectar is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital consent age required in your country. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete or restrict that information. 10. International processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes means the updated policy applies.
